Chicken tomatoes with spicy sauce
- 1 kg of chicken, in pieces
- 3 medium tomatoes or 450 g, finely chopped
- 1 case concentrated tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- ½ cac turmeric
- 2 onions chopped
- 2 cases of oil
- ½ cac red pepper
- ½ cac pepper
- ½ cac cinnamon powder
- ½ cac cardamom powder
- 375 ml water
- lemon juice
- 2 cubes of chicken broth
- Chickpea (I love it)
Heat the oil in a large saucepan, and brown the chicken on all sides, remove and set aside. Add onions and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until onion is golden. Add garlic and spices and stir for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes, tomato concentrate, water, lemon juice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and simmer 3-4 minutes. Return the chicken pieces, cover and cook over low heat until the chicken is cooked.Serve with rice or couscous semolina.
